Hey there good lookin!
It’s great to see ya again and be back home after a long (but successful!!) first ever road trip with Noob Baby. The San Francisco Bay Area was just how I remembered it… lovely, chilly, unpredictable, raw, and a dash of crazy.
“Street entertainers” are still a dime a dozen up in SF, but it seems methods have changed since I was last up there. Back when I was going to school up north, there were the usuals: metallic guy (painted from head to toe in either silver or gold) who would do a little Mr. Roboto when you dropped your change in the cup, veteran guy, I-need-pot-money chick, etc. Well on this trip to Union Square, we saw the cat & rat lady:
I was like, “OMG! So cute!!”
(and so the lion fell in love with the lamb *wink wink*)
And then I was like, “OMGOMG! So much cuter!”Noob Daddy: You know how they get them to do that right? They drug them up.
Me: No way. That’s … that’s… (looking back at the unblinking, unmoving menage a troi)… oh.
Well, either I’m totally naive (which is very likely) or Noob Daddy is totally jaded (which is also very likely). What do you think?
And of course… what would San Francisco be without a good old fashioned drum circle?

I took my first trip to San Francisco the week after the twin tower attacks…the plane was empty! But, I fell in love with the city, it’s so clean too! Here in NY there is trash all over the place. I’m glad you guys had a good trip.
I’ve always wanted to visit San Fransisco.. someday I hope to! Congratulations on your road adventure with your little one.
Hmm–I think Noob Daddy has a point…
I say keep your “how cute!” idea because if they are drugged I wouldn’t want to either know about it or think about it….sad.
