The feeling of little kicking feet in your tummy. Being awake in the middle of the night and watching the bump move. Feeling so so special every single day. The excitement and anticipation as you get closer to your due date. Shopping for tiny little baby things not knowing yet whether you'll be having a boy or a girl. Maternity leave!!!

Not so great: the constant nausea that does NOT stop after 12 weeks but continues right through to when you are actually in labour. The not being allowed to drink wine and eat soft French cheeses. Not being able to eat anything more spicy than, say, a banana for fear of being sick. People constantly telling you to slow down, take it easy when you feel just fine.
